Flexible Multi-SKU Production Automation
Frequent product specification variations, wide SKU range and high changeover demands
Project Challenges
This line supports multiple biscuit types and varied collation configurations with frequent format changeovers, which standard packaging machines cannot fully satisfy.
Running at high-speed multi-channel production for fragile bakery products, it faces strict consistency requirements for feeding and grouping, with risks of breakage, misalignment, jamming and cycle mismatch across its long multi-step packaging sequence covering primary wrapping, secondary packaging, robotic re-collation and case packing.
The project is rolled out in phases to enable later expansion, while clear supply scope boundaries apply: the customer provides upstream/downstream conveyors and utility infrastructure, so the line needs reliable interface integration with existing facilities.
In addition, the equipment must meet food safety standards with food-contact stainless steel and adapt to local site power, air and hygiene specifications.
RBTA Solutions
A distributed multi-channel collation solution is implemented to gently handle fragile biscuits and achieve stable grouping.
The modular parallel process design supports two independent secondary packaging workflows for flexible format switching.
Robotic flexible re-collation is used to process flexible pouches and accommodate complex packing configurations without rigid tooling.
The phased layout concept reserves space and control interfaces for future capacity expansion.
A unified central control system manages all product recipes with one-touch changeover, alongside inline inspection and automatic rejection.
Hardware selections are tailored to local site conditions and food contact requirements.
Well-defined scope and interface boundaries reduce on-site coordination risks.
A complete service package covers FAT, commissioning, training and standard warranty.
